I Love Pinterest {Back To School Party}

Written by Tara, Posted in Homemaking , Homeschooling

As usual, I'm a late adapter when it comes to the latest and greatest in trends.

My newest love (that you all have probably been loving for months) is Pinterest. Not to be too epic, but I think Pinterest could make me a better person. Well, a craftier person in the very least.

The Winner is...

MomMart!

Summer time around MommyHahaville is filled with swimming in the pool, going to the beach, and trips to the water park. Its also filled with quite a bit of down time in the air conditioning. We live in Florida, and it is unbearably hot in the summer. We need fun activities to do indoors, while we are taking a break from all our fun water adventures.

VBS Bliss

Written by Tara, Posted in Motherhood

The kids are in VBS this week. It's the first time the two of them have both been in any sort of "school." As a mom who is planning to homeschool, I'm a little concerned by how much I'm enjoying it.

Space Race {Review + Giveaway} CLOSED

If you have a little space lover, like Big E, you should check out the new animated web series, Space Race.  It's an action packed series that focuses on racing, space travel and space education. Big E and I have spent a ton of time exploring Space Race together. The characters are reminiscent of Cars characters, only they fly through space! It's a lot of fun, and it provides a ton of great information about space as well.

A Part of Thankful Thursday at Jenny's Blessed Nest

bugcatcherWe've entered a new phase of childhood.  The bug-lovin' one.

Big E was very insistent this weekend that he HAD to go to the Dollar Store because he HAD to get a bug catcher because he just HAD to.  The boy is gifted in persistence.  And when his generous friend gave him a dollar, it only intensified.

Gobbledy Goo

While at the library the other day, Big E grabbed a book called I'm a Scientist: Kitchen.  There are quite a few easy, fun experiments that are totally suitable for toddlers and preschoolers.  Most of them use materials normally found in the kitchen.

We decided to start out with Gobbledy Goo.  I mean, first of all it sounds awesome.  Secondly, I had the ingredients.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

A Part of Toddler Talk Thursday - St. Patty's Style

Just yesterday, a friend and I were talking about if we were going to do anything with our kids for Saint Patrick's Day.  Neither of us were particularly inspired with any ideas for our little ones.  I think for me, it's because I didn't know what the day was really celebrating.

I decided to do some research about what St. Patrick's Day is all about - and now I'm excited to teach my kids what I learned!
