Earlier this week I told you how much we love Coconuts, and what a blast we had at Big E's birthday party there. I also promised you a giveaway, so here it is!

A couple weeks ago, my baby boy turned five years old. That is still blowing my mind, but I realize that by saying how fast they grow up I sound really old - so I'll just leave it at that.

To celebrate the big five, we told Big E he could have his birthday party wherever he wanted to, and that he could make up his very own invite list (you know, instead of us just inviting our friends as we've done most years). His choice was Coconuts Family Entertainment Center without hesitation. We love Coconuts, and Big E has been talking about having a birthday party there for almost a year!

Five years.

This week our family snuck away for a little vacation. Joel and I wanted to treat the kids to some fun time away before we travel for the adoption. We were blessed by friends who let us stay with them in their beautiful vacation villa for free and helped us get a good deal on Sea World tickets.

We had a great time, and despite our kids having a total meltdown at the Mall of Overstimulation - it was some sweet togetherness.

Yet each night, I was struck by something about myself.

Last weekend, we had our "Get us There Garage Sale" to raise money for our travel to adopt.

Before we even got to the beach, I announced to the family that we'd stop for McDonalds ice cream on the way home.
